Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: I’m proud of every project that has helped shape my career, from working with Demi Lovato to contributing to records for SEVENTEEN. However, one of the most meaningful experiences was earning multiple Grammy nominations for my songwriting and vocal production work on albums by the legendary Charlie Wilson. Hearing him praise my voice and my work, and then follow the vocal approach I created in my demo, was both humbling and validating. It reminded me that the care and emotion I put into a demo can help shape the final record, even when working with an artist whose career has inspired generations. I’m also especially proud of singing background vocals on Alan Walker’s “Thick of It All,” featuring Joe Jonas and Julia Michaels. I helped arrange and perform the choir style background vocals with one other vocalist. In certain sections, the vocals sound like a full mass choir, but that powerful sound was created by layering and arranging just our two voices. Being able to help build that scale, energy, and emotion from the ground up was an exciting creative challenge and a great example of what thoughtful vocal production can bring to a record.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: My promise is to always put my best foot forward and treat every client’s project with the same care, passion, and attention I would give my own. I will communicate clearly, respect your vision, honor the agreed timeline, and keep you informed throughout the process. Most importantly, I will bring my full creativity, experience, and professionalism to every song and work to deliver something we can both be proud of.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: I love everything about the creative process. There is something magical about walking into a room with nothing but an idea and leaving with a song that could connect with millions of people or even become a million dollar record. Watching a melody, lyric, or vocal arrangement grow into a finished song never gets old. I also love traveling the world and collaborating with other creatives. Music is a universal language, and some of my most memorable experiences have come from working with people who did not speak the same language as me. Even without many words, we were able to communicate through melodies, emotion, and creativity, and create incredible, timeless records together. That ability to connect with people and turn a shared feeling into music is what I love most about my job.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: The biggest misconception is that my work begins and ends with singing or writing a song. I wear many hats throughout the creative process, and people may not realize how much time, energy, focus, and attention to detail go into creating a record from start to finish. Beyond writing and performing, I may also be engineering the session, producing and arranging my own vocals, building harmonies and background parts, comping the best takes, editing, and mixing the vocals. Balancing the creative and technical sides at the same time takes experience, patience, and a clear vision for the finished record.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Communication is key. I appreciate clients who are upfront about their budget, expectations, deadlines, references, and overall vision for the song. The more clearly you can describe what you want and provide examples of the sound, mood, or vocal style you’re aiming for, the better I can bring that vision to life. It’s also important to discuss deliverables and revisions before starting so everyone is on the same page. A successful collaboration is built on honesty, trust, respect, and open communication throughout the entire process.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: I often describe myself as a musical chameleon because I’m comfortable working across a wide range of genres, including R&B, Pop, EDM, Country, Gospel, and everything in between. I understand that every style has its own language, emotion, and vocal approach, so I adapt my writing and performance while staying true to the song and the artist’s vision. I’ve had the opportunity to study under and perform with incredible artists across many genres, and those experiences have shaped my versatility, musical instincts, and the artist I am today.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: I believe every creative has a unique superpower. Mine is hearing the possibilities in a song and bringing them fully to life. I can take something that feels black and white and make it colorful by adding emotion, memorable melodies, dynamic vocal arrangements, rich harmonies, and the small details that give a record its own identity. My goal is always to elevate the original vision while bringing a fresh perspective that makes the song feel complete, exciting, and unforgettable.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: My process is tailored to what each song needs. When I’m hired to write, I usually begin with the melody, then build the concept and lyrics around it. For vocal production, I carefully listen to the full record and each section, then organically add the harmonies, background vocals, ad-libs, and arrangements that best support the song.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I’m most often hired for lead vocals, featured vocals, and songwriting/toplining, including lyrics and melody. I also provide complete vocal production, from harmonies, background and choir vocals to ad-libs, vocal arrangements, and direction.
